Canton Trade Days - A Little Slice Of Paradise
So yesterday my mom (who is visiting from Virginia), a friend and I all plopped ourselves into my Honda Odyssey (with the back seat down) and took ourselves off to Canton. It is about an hour and a half drive and so worth it!
Canton is one of the oldest, if not the oldest continually running flea markets. It started in the 1850's and is called the largest outdoor trade days in the world! It opens Thursday before the first Monday of the month (all year long) and runs through Sunday.
I'm pretty sure that there is something for everyone and I'm 100% sure that was a million and one things for me!
We were there for 5 1/2 hours and saw about a quarter of it. Must return. Quick.
This is what happens when you let my mom and I go with a "few bucks" in hand.
You see those two matching cabinets there do ya? Not going to show you. Nope. Come back next week and I will though;-)
Have a great week and plan a trip to Canton Texas soon. Send your husband down the road about 20 minutes to Lake Fork for some great bass fishing!

I heart Canton! I didn't know about the bass fishing. I mean, I don't have a husband, but maybe I could head 20 minutes down the road after filling my car and find some husband's best friend that wanting to go fishing with them. ;o)
That place looks huge! Would love to go someday. And those cabinets look about 24 inches wides, just what I'm looking for :)
That is right it is this weekend. I am still coming off my Round Top high. But might have to run out there the weather is perfect. Love the back of the car pic, loaded with goodies.
