So here's what I'm working with...
This is how it's looked from the time we moved, minus the little boy in his pj's.
I have a few ideas that include tearing out the stuff on the walls/ceiling, and doing some sort of paneling/wainscot/planking.... whatever I can find cheap that will turn out with the look I want. I also plan on painting the floor. Please if anyone has tips on how to clean and paint a concrete floor then do share! Any other ideas are welcome as well.

Hi Jillian! I have no tips on the concrete floor, but I LOVE painted concrete so I am so excited to see the result!!
I once painted the floor of my garage. I cleaned it very well with a normal household cleaner and then "etched" the floor with a special chemical I bought at Home Depot. It was a lot of work and the fumes were bad but I had heard from Shelly that it makes the paint stick so much better. I can tell a difference around the edge of the garage where I got lazy and didn't etch it. The paint didn't stick as well. That was about 6 or 7 years ago and considering that it is a garage, I think the paint has help up well.

My dream is to have a pool, let alone a pool house. We live in a climate with very short summers and cold cold winters so its not ideal. Enjoy, I will be daydreaming about it.
