I've been crazy busy this week and part of it is the little project I call my living room. I am very embarrassed to say that the only "before" picture that I have is, well... what it looks like most days.
Here it goes, please don't judge too harshly :-)
I have lots of great reasons for it looking like this, see those little people in the background? One of them lives to make messes, it is his mission in life. Anyway...
Here it what it looked like when the previous owners lived here.
So, you get the idea and you are now ready to see what it looks like today.
I set out to redo my living room on a budget and succeeded with a total of roughly $47 dollars!
Really all I did was slap on lots of creamy white paint and add accessories mostly from Dollar Tree and of course Hobby Lobby!
I'm still playing around with stuff and will let you know when I hit the jackpot and find my final look.
I still have big plans for this room. New flooring, new paint, install a window that lets natural light in from an interior wall (hmm, not sure that one will work out). Lots of plans with no plan to do them right now!
Check back Friday and I'll give you the breakdown on the little details and my great side table from Craigslist! Tomorrow is We Can Do It Cheaper day too, so join in the fun!

I'm so excited to see what you did from the DS!
Hi Jillian...just stumbled onto your blog...your room is looking good...cute idea with the clocks! Oh...just went to Hobby Lob yesterday for the 2nd time this week and I dare to say I'm a #3 on your list down there! In fact, I'm waiting for when they will open the Hobby Lobby hotel and let us spend the night there!! Ha! :)
Oh this turned out wonderful! Trust me, those with kids would never judge :) Love that you did it on a budget. We must be on the same page right now, I'm trying to spruce up my family room with cheap accessories :)
It's looking great! I have to say I like the before picture too because it's a little frustrating seeing all of these perfect beautiful pictures on blogs. It's nice to see an honest picture occasionally of reality we all have! Love the little pot with No1 on it.
Love the vignette that you created with and on the white table..., so little can have such big impact! And no clutter of course. That's such a biggy, isn't it!

Looks really good! amazing what you can do on a budget!!! I've been getting ripped off for years! Now, I'm much smahtah ( I think!;) We do not have a hobby lobby here, but if we did I think I'd like it, A LOT! Come on over to my blog and see my re-do on a budget!
Looks great! It's always fun to make changes - big or small! Love the clock idea :)
I LOVE your living room! The coffee table is awesome! I really like the white table too. It all looks great! I have a little one who lives to make messes too!
BTW, I'm not sure if I should thank you or not for telling me I could get Hobby Lobby online, lol. We don't have them in Las Vegas and I really miss the store. But now that I can get stuff online I'll be tempted to spend lots of money!
No harsh judgments here sister--look great! I love your coffee table and all of the little details and touches you added.
Trust me when I say we all clean up before taking pictures of our rooms. Don't think for a moment that my house can survive five granchildren and not look like a cyclone hit it!
I am in love with you coffee Table...Just wonderful! Please stop by for a visit and enter my giveaway.
