Don't want to overwhelm you all with all the stuff I've been doing (ok, so I don't have pictures of all of it. Big deal!:-) so I thought I would show you the chair I did this week.
I picked this one up at Goodwill for a few bucks and got right to work.

It was painted brown with wheels on the bottom. I tried painting the wheels, then decided that they didn't match the style.

Sprayed on a little primer, then some Heirloom White. Got my handy little sander out and went to town. I also used a little bit of glaze around the back of the chair. (this was my first time with glazing. Love it!)

Then it was time for the seat. Never recovered anything before so this was also a new one for me. It was....interesting. I used a drop cloth to do the job and liked how it turned out...
except for one thing. It was dull and plain jane. So I whipped up a little acrylic paint and slapped on some painters tape to add some lines. Decided to add "1870" just for kicks and was really happy with it in the end.

I so badly want to keep this one for myself, but I just can't. I'll find another someday.... some far off day.
I'll be back for more in a few days. Antique Alley starts this Friday so I got ta keep on truck'n! I can't wait to see all of you that have mentioned that you'll be there. It will be fun! (bring a moving van:-)

Nice!! It really looks so much better. So crisp and clean. I could see why you'd want to keep it!

Oh I like it! Looks brand new. Good that you took off the wheels. I think it looks great without.
Very fresh!! I have a perfect spot for it!!
Wow! I love it. What a transformation!
Your choices for the chair are perfect. I've never used glaze before but I'd like to try, especially once I see how nice it looks!
:)
