We Can Do It Cheaper - An Eggstravaganza Kind Of Project

The Virginia House

This weeks project is super simple and best of all super cheap!

I was perusing through the newest Pottery Barn Catalog when I came across these beautiful vase filler eggs. They are actually not a bad price either. They have 12 of these robins eggs for $14.99, and they also have quail eggs that are very pretty as well. (check it out online and you'll see they have their descriptions mixed up on the eggs)

I trotted as fast as a Honda Odyssey can trot over to Hobby Lobby and looked around.
I found some very nice little paper mache eggs and plucked them from their nest to bring home.

My total price spent on this project? $1.00!! I used acrylic paint that I already hand on hand and just mixed my own color. They aren't perfect and they don't look exactly like PB's, but when I look at my little vase full of eggs, I'm satisfied.

You're next! Link up your We Can Do It Cheaper project so we can all be inspired (and maybe save a few pennies). This week I will also be picking my favorate project from what you link and feature it (and you) on next weeks We Can Do It Cheaper. Be sure you take my button with you to let everyone know who you link with!
Thank you for those of you who linked up last week, I loved the ideas! Can't wait to see what you have this week!

Hmmmm, I wonder if Pottery Barn will put the eggs on clearance after Easter?! Your PB "knock off" looks great! I love decorating for Easter!

Love it, looks great!
Wish I had something to share today but with company in one after another I have nothing. I'm getting the itch to paint something soon! Maybe by next week :)
